Why so many people start here
Running a still you built with your own hands is its own kind of satisfying. That's the appeal of the EZ KIT, and it's why this you-solder copper kit is on our best-sellers list. You do the soldering and learn how every joint and seam fits. By the time you fire it up, you know the still inside and out.
What sets the Advanced Model apart
- EZ Seal Cap
- 4 inch thumper port
- Copper construction, soldered by you
- Twelve sizes, from 2 gallons up to 100 gallons
Pick your size, pick your experiment
The size range is the other reason people choose this kit. A 2 or 6 gallon kit makes a tidy bench project for learning the basics: how heat moves through copper, how vapor behaves, and where you want your cuts. Move up to 10, 15, or 20 gallons when you want room for longer runs. The larger sizes, up to 100 gallons, are for people with plenty of space and a clear plan. The idea is the same at every size: you build it, you run it, and you learn from it.
Prices start at $379 and depend on the size you choose.
Building is legal; distilling has rules
Owning and assembling a still is legal in the US. Stills are used for water, for essential oils, and for fuel alcohol, which requires a permit. Distilling spirits requires federal TTB permits. Please follow federal, state, and local law.
