The still that made the FlameFlow™ name
When someone wants a copper still for bigger batches that still gives them real control, this is the one we point to first. The 10 gallon FlameFlow™ is covered by U.S. Patent No. 10,561,960. The idea behind it is easy to picture: instead of only heating the bottom of the pot, four large tubes carry the flame up and through the still itself.
The builders spent more than two years developing and fine-tuning the design. They logged over 100 hours of testing to check their claims and to make sure the unit was safe for consumers. They report that it heats up in half the time of their standard units, is less likely to scorch your mash, and gives you easier, more accurate heat control.
What comes in the set
- Pot
- Thumper
- Worm
- Cap with temperature gauge
Where the science comes in
Ten gallons gives you room to experiment. Spread heat through the pot, watch the gauge on the cap, let the thumper do its work, and see how small changes to the flame affect what comes off the worm. Run it, take notes, adjust, and run it again. That's how you get to know a still.
Legal first
Owning a still is legal in the US. Making spirits requires federal TTB permits, and fuel alcohol needs a permit too. Water and essential oils are other common uses. Always follow federal, state, and local law.
